The 19th Championship held on 1st August 1999.

A hot and sunny day at Walberswick attracted 432 oficial entrants to the championship, and as usual, lots of fun was had by both entrants and their supporters.
Winners
Gold - Thomas Dolton of Sudbury (pictured right)
Silver - Daniel Parker of Pulham St. Mary
Bronze - Carl Free of Ipswich

The winning crab weighed in at 5 1/4 onces. The prizes were presented by author Esther Freud (pictured left).
