“OUR QUEST IS TO SHARE THE BEST’

Our private small lake

WELCOME! Wildlife, Wings and Wheels offers you ‘wildlife watching days out’ in the Suffolk and Norfolk Countryside. Based near Southwold in Suffolk, these days are especially designed for individuals travelling alone or for a maximum of two people and who would like to bird and wildlife watch, without the worry of driving. If necessary we can help book your accommodation, collect you from our local railway station and design ‘wildlife days out’ just for you. We have a range of days that we can offer, so you enjoy the magnificent scenery that East Anglia offers. Binoculars are available for use.

You will need to be able to walk on uneven ground, beaches and muddy footpaths. It’s not a trek, but maybe a mile or so walking.

Enjoy being with nature.

Our Wildlife experience is aimed at giving you the best opportunity we can. We include visiting local RSPB and Wildlife Trust sites. However, you could just enjoy sharing our own private woodland and lake. We are not experts, just passionate about wildlife and would like to share our local knowledge and love of East Anglia with you.

Our itinerary includes, woodlands, rivers, marshes, sea-shores and fen-lands. Entry to the sites are included in the cost.

Drinks, snacks and light lunch provided if on a full day.

Private Woodland and Lake

We are able to share our small private ancient woodland and lake with invited visitors. We have a range of hides to maximise the opportunity to get close and take great photographs. In the wood we hope you will see all the woodland birds: Woodpeckers, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Finches and Tits, many butterflies, dragonflies, deer, hare, snakes, voles, mice, and other creepy crawlies. By our lake, we regulalry watch the Kingfisher bathe, listen to the sound of the Nightingale, Song Thrush, Whitethroat and Cuckoo. If we are lucky we watch the Kestrels as they raise their young safely hidden in an old owl box. The Moorhens and Ducks rearing their young too.

A peaceful and revitalising day out with nature, why not have the morning in the woodland , then the afternoon by the lake, a glass of wine, to finish off a lovely relaxing day. A maximum of 2 people per session.

Of course we cannot guarantee whatwe will see, as its all wild!

You will be escorted at all times while in the woodland and by the lake.

Hide hire is also available, ideal for photographers, or just come and sit and enjoy, paint or meditate.
